Training your dog can be one of the most important and fulfilling experiences for both of you. Training builds a relationship of appreciation, caring and mutual respect between pet and owner. Training is fun and allows your pet to reach its full potential.

We try hard to accommodate our customer’s busy schedules by offering classes on Saturdays as well as evening classes during the week. Classes last six weeks long and are one hour each session. 

We are currently offering Puppy and Adult/Beginner Basic Obedience Classes. We also provide Intermediate Classes for those who have completed our Basic/Puppy Class or for dogs who have received basic training in the past and an AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Prep Course. We can also perform the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. (See description of classes below)

Puppy Obedience Class

From first time pupy owners to those with an "out of control" puppy, this class will go over all of the basics you need to know about puppies. Classes will cover solutions to common puppy problems such as chewing, biting, jumping and potty training. Puppies will also learn basic puppy commands - see me, sit, down, leave it, come when called, stay and loose leash walking. Will also cover the importance of handling a puppy.

Adult Dog Beginner
(8 months and over)

A basic obedience class for adult dogs. This class will build the foundation for future training with basic commands such as see me, sit, down, leave it, come when called, stay, socialization skills, proper greetings (no jumping) and any problems left over from the puppy stage.

Intermediate Class
(upon completion of our puppy or basic class or for dogs who have received basic training in the past)

This class will refine those skills learned in puppy or basic. Dogs will learn to stay for extended length of time, as handler walks away and with distractions. Will learn heel and proper walking tips with owner. Dogs will continue to work on come when called with distractions and will learn a variety of other fun commands.

AKC CGC Prep Course

This course is designed to prepare you and your dog for the AKC CGC test. We will learn and review the required test items. At the end of the course, test dates can be scheduled. Please visit the AKC (American Kennel Club) website for additional information on CGC testing guidelines.
